Day 182 of 365

Walking Humbly

Micah 6:8

Micah 6:8

“He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”

Insight

God's requirements are clear: justice, mercy, humility. Act justly—do what's right even when it costs you. Love mercy—extend grace to those who don't deserve it. Walk humbly—remember who you are and who God is. This is the whole duty of man in three commands. Not complicated, but costly. Justice without mercy is harsh. Mercy without justice is weak. Both without humility are self-righteous. Walk humbly with your God. It's what He requires.

Reflection

Which of these three—justice, mercy, or humility—is hardest for you to practice? What's one concrete way you can grow in that area?
