Day 47 of 365

Loving Enemies

Romans 12:20-21

Romans 12:20-21

“On the contrary: 'If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.' Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”

Insight

Loving enemies defies human nature but defines divine nature. Retaliation is easy; blessing is supernatural. When you respond to hate with love, insult with kindness, and harm with help, you break the cycle of evil. You also become like Jesus, who loved His enemies all the way to the cross. This kind of love isn't natural - it's Spirit-empowered and world-changing.

Reflection

Who treats you as an enemy? What would it look like to actively bless them this week instead of avoiding or resenting them?
