Day 48 of 365
Conquering Fear
Psalm 27:1
Psalm 27:1
“The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?”
Insight
Fear asks 'what if?' Faith responds 'even if.' David faced giants, armies, and betrayal, yet declared fearlessness. Why? Because God was his light (showing the way), salvation (securing the outcome), and stronghold (protecting in battle). When you know God is for you, with you, and in you, fear loses its power. Courage isn't the absence of fear; it's trusting God in spite of it.
Reflection
What specific fear is paralyzing you right now? How does knowing God as your light, salvation, and stronghold change how you view that fear?
