Day 268 of 365
The Cost of Following
Luke 9:23
Luke 9:23
“Then he said to them all: 'Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.'”
Reflection
Following Jesus requires daily self-denial. Take up your cross daily - not once, but every day. This means dying to your will, desires, and agenda to follow Christ. It's costly, uncomfortable, and countercultural. But it's the only way to be His disciple. You can't follow Jesus while living for yourself. Deny yourself. Pick up your cross. Follow Him. The cost is high, but He's worth it.
