Day 137 of 365

Resisting Gossip

Proverbs 16:28

Proverbs 16:28

“A perverse person stirs up conflict, and a gossip separates close friends.”

Reflection

Gossip is poison disguised as information. It destroys reputations, breaks relationships, and reveals character. When someone starts gossiping to you, they're showing you they'll gossip about you. Don't participate. Don't listen. Don't spread it. Change the subject or walk away. Gossip separates close friends and stirs conflict. If you have an issue with someone, go to them directly. Refuse to gossip. Build people up, don't tear them down.
