Day 33 of 365
Your Unique Race
Hebrews 12:1-2
Hebrews 12:1-2
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus.”
Insight
God marked out a specific race for you - not for anyone else. When you compare your mile 3 to someone else's mile 15, you'll always feel behind. But comparison is irrelevant when each runner has a unique track. The key is to fix your eyes on Jesus, not on other runners. Run your race, not theirs. Your pace, progress, and path are between you and God alone.
Reflection
Who are you comparing yourself to, and how is it affecting your joy? What would change if you focused solely on your own race and Jesus as your finish line?
