Day 32 of 365

Living in the Now

Matthew 6:34

Matthew 6:34

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

Insight

Jesus commands us not to worry about tomorrow because anxiety robs us of today's joy. Regret anchors us in the past; anxiety drags us into the future. But life happens in the present. Today is the only day you can actually live. When you're fully present - experiencing, engaging, and embracing this moment - you discover that God's grace is sufficient for each day's challenges.

Reflection

What past regrets or future anxieties are stealing your ability to be fully present today? How can you practice being more mindful of this moment?
