Day 61 of 365

Walking Humbly

Philippians 2:3-4

Philippians 2:3-4

“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.”

Insight

Humility isn't thinking less of yourself; it's thinking of yourself less. It's recognizing that everything you have - talents, opportunities, breath - is a gift from God. Pride takes credit; humility gives glory. Pride competes; humility celebrates. Pride demands recognition; humility finds joy in serving without applause. Jesus, though God, humbled Himself to death on a cross. If He can be humble, so can you.

Reflection

Where is pride showing up in your life? What would humility look like in that specific area?
