Day 61 of 365

Walking in Humility

Micah 6:8

Micah 6:8

“He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”

Reflection

Humility isn't thinking less of yourself; it's thinking of yourself less. It's acknowledging that everything you have is a gift from God. Your talents? He gave them. Your opportunities? He opened them. Your breath? He sustains it. Pride says 'look what I did.' Humility says 'look what God did through me.' Pride competes and compares. Humility celebrates and serves. Pride needs recognition. Humility finds fulfillment in obedience regardless of applause. Walk humbly by staying teachable, admitting when you're wrong, serving without needing credit, and pointing glory to God instead of yourself. The world elevates self-promotion, but God exalts the humble. When you decrease, He increases. Today, serve someone without telling anyone. Deflect a compliment to give God glory. Ask for help instead of pretending you have it all together.
