Day 164 of 365

The Problem with Comparison

Galatians 6:4

Galatians 6:4

“Each one should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparing themselves to someone else.”

Insight

Comparison is a joy thief. When you measure yourself against others, you either become proud (I'm better) or insecure (I'm worse). Both are toxic. God calls you to examine your own actions, not others'. Test yourself against Scripture and your own growth, not someone else's highlight reel. Your assignment is unique. Your pace is yours. Run your race. Celebrate others without comparing. Find satisfaction in obedience, not comparison.

Reflection

Who are you constantly comparing yourself to? How is this comparison affecting your joy and obedience?
