Day 164 of 365

The Practice of Confession

1 John 1:9

1 John 1:9

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”

Reflection

Confession isn't punishment; it's pathway to freedom. When you confess - agree with God about your sin - He forgives and purifies. Not because you earned it, but because He's faithful and just. Jesus already paid for that sin. Confession appropriates His payment. Secret sin grows in darkness. Confession brings it into light where forgiveness and healing happen. Don't hide sin; confess it. To God first, then to a trusted person for accountability. Confession breaks shame's power and opens the door to restoration. What needs confessing today?
