Day 189 of 365
The Blessing of Generosity
2 Corinthians 9:6-7
2 Corinthians 9:6-7
“Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
Insight
Generosity produces harvest. Sow sparingly, reap sparingly. Sow generously, reap generously. This isn't prosperity gospel—it's biblical principle. God doesn't promise financial return, but He does promise blessing. The blessing might be spiritual, relational, or material, but it comes. Give cheerfully, not reluctantly. God doesn't want your begrudging duty; He wants your joyful worship. When you give generously and cheerfully, you reflect God's heart. And He blesses that.
Reflection
Are you sowing sparingly or generously with your resources? What's preventing you from giving cheerfully and generously?
