Day 246 of 365
Righteousness Not Our Own
Philippians 3:9
Philippians 3:9
“And be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith.”
Insight
Your righteousness doesn't come from your obedience—it comes from faith in Christ. This is crucial. You're not righteous because you kept rules; you're righteous because you trusted Jesus. Your standing before God is based on His righteousness, not yours. This eliminates pride and fear. You can't boast in your righteousness, and you don't need to fear losing His. Your righteousness comes from God through faith. Rest in it.
Reflection
Are you trusting in your own righteousness or Christ's? How does this truth change your confidence before God?
