Day 166 of 365

Gospel-Centered Living

1 Corinthians 15:3-4

1 Corinthians 15:3-4

“For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.”

Insight

The gospel isn't just the entry point to Christianity—it's the entire Christian life. Christ died for your sins, was buried, and rose again. This is of first importance. Every day, you need the gospel: reminding you you're forgiven (He died), your old self is dead (He was buried), and you have new life (He rose). Don't move past the gospel to 'deeper truths.' The gospel is the deepest truth. Live in it daily.

Reflection

How does the gospel of Christ's death and resurrection impact your life today, not just your salvation years ago?
