Persevering in Holiness

Hebrews 12:14

“Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.”

Insight

Holiness requires effort. Not earning-salvation effort, but sanctification effort. You're already saved by grace through faith, but now God calls you to 'make every effort' to grow in holiness. This means saying no to sin, yes to obedience, cultivating spiritual disciplines, and pursuing purity. Why? Because without holiness, you won't see the Lord. This doesn't mean you lose salvation, but that unholiness blinds you to God's presence. Pursue holiness to experience Him fully.
