Day 259 of 365

Fixing Our Eyes

Hebrews 12:2

“Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Insight

Fix your eyes on Jesus—not your circumstances, not your feelings, not your failures. Jesus is the pioneer and perfecter of faith. He started it; He'll finish it. He endured the cross for the joy ahead. When you fix your eyes on Him, you gain perspective and endurance. Your race isn't about you; it's about Him. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. Everything else will blur into insignificance.

Reflection

What are you fixing your eyes on instead of Jesus? How can you keep your focus on Him today?
