Day 131 of 365
Fear Not
Isaiah 43:1-2
Isaiah 43:1-2
“But now, this is what the Lord says—he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: 'Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.'”
Insight
God doesn't promise absence of difficulty - waters, rivers, and fire will come. But He promises His presence in them. The waters won't sweep you away. The fire won't consume you. Why? Because God is with you. You belong to Him. He called you by name. Don't fear the trial; trust the God who walks through it with you. His presence guarantees your protection.
Reflection
What 'water' or 'fire' are you currently walking through? How does knowing God is with you change your perspective on that trial?
