“Enjoy life with your wife, whom you love, all the days of this meaningless life that God has given you under the sun—all your meaningless days. For this is your lot in life and in your toilsome labor under the sun.”
Insight
Life is short and fleeting. Solomon urges you to enjoy it - particularly relationships. Be present with people you love. Put down your phone. Make eye contact. Listen fully. Engage deeply. Most people are physically present but mentally absent. True presence - being fully there in body, mind, and heart - is rare and precious. Today, practice presence. Give someone your full, undivided attention.
Reflection
Who do you need to be more present with - spouse, kids, friends? What distracts you from being fully present? What would change if you eliminated that distraction for one week?
