“But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: 'God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.'”
Insight
God opposes pride. That's terrifying. The Creator of the universe actively resists the proud. Why? Because pride says, 'I don't need You.' It's self-reliance, self-sufficiency, self-worship. But to the humble—those who recognize their need—God gives grace. Pride blocks God's blessing. Humility unlocks it. If you feel like you're hitting a wall spiritually, check for pride. Where are you trusting yourself instead of God? Break the pride. Receive the grace.
