Boldness in the Spirit

“After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.”
Insight
The early church didn't pray for safety or comfort when persecuted - they prayed for boldness to keep preaching. Their confidence wasn't in their own abilities but in the Holy Spirit's empowerment. True boldness isn't recklessness or arrogance; it's Spirit-enabled courage to speak truth and live out faith regardless of consequences. When we feel timid, we can ask God for the same boldness He gave the apostles.
