Day 154 of 365
Blessed Assurance
1 John 5:13
1 John 5:13
“I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.”
Insight
You can know—not hope, not wish, not guess—you can know you have eternal life. Assurance of salvation isn't arrogance; it's biblical. John wrote so believers would have certainty. This assurance isn't based on your feelings (which fluctuate) or your performance (which fails), but on God's promise to all who believe in His Son. If you've trusted Jesus, you're saved. Period. Let that truth silence every doubt Satan whispers.
Reflection
Do you have assurance of your salvation? If not, what's preventing you from believing God's promise? If yes, how does this certainty affect your daily life?
