Day 180 of 365
The Narrow Gate
Matthew 7:13-14
Matthew 7:13-14
“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”
Reflection
Jesus doesn't promise an easy path. The road to life is narrow. Few find it. Many take the wide road - cultural Christianity, nominal faith, do-what-feels-good spirituality. But that road leads to destruction. The narrow road requires sacrifice, obedience, and surrender. It's countercultural and often lonely. But it leads to life. Don't be deceived by popularity. Wide roads attract crowds, but narrow roads lead to life. Choose the narrow gate. Walk the narrow road. It's worth it.
