Day 49 of 365
The Discipline of Margin
Psalm 23:2
Psalm 23:2
“He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters.”
Reflection
Your calendar is full. Your to-do list is endless. You rush from one thing to the next, always behind, always stressed. Sound familiar? God didn't design you to live at maximum capacity 24/7. Even He rested on the seventh day. You need margin - blank space in your schedule, room to breathe, time for unplanned moments. Margin isn't laziness; it's wisdom. It's saying no to good things so you can say yes to God things. It's leaving space for divine interruptions. It's prioritizing people over productivity. Without margin, you're too busy to hear God's voice, too rushed to notice someone's need, too exhausted to enjoy your own life. Today, evaluate your schedule. What can you cut? What can you delegate? What can you simply let go? Create margin. Breathe. Rest. Live.
