Day 185 of 365

Testing Everything

1 Thessalonians 5:21-22

1 Thessalonians 5:21-22

“But test them all; hold on to what is good, reject every kind of evil.”

Reflection

Don't blindly accept everything you hear - test it against Scripture. Not everyone who uses Jesus' name teaches Jesus' truth. Test teachings, prophecies, opinions, and cultural trends against God's Word. Hold onto what aligns with Scripture. Reject what contradicts it. This requires knowing Scripture well enough to discern truth from error. Study God's Word. Know it. Then you'll recognize counterfeits. Test everything. Hold onto good. Reject evil. Be discerning.
