Day 113 of 365

Receiving Correction

Proverbs 12:1

Proverbs 12:1

“Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but whoever hates correction is stupid.”

Reflection

Nobody enjoys correction, but wise people receive it. Correction reveals blind spots, prevents disasters, and promotes growth. When someone lovingly confronts you, don't get defensive. Listen. Evaluate. Adjust. Foolish people reject correction and repeat mistakes. Wise people embrace correction and avoid repeated pain. Surround yourself with people who love you enough to tell you the truth. When they speak, listen. Correction is a gift, not an attack.
