Day 109 of 365

Loving the Unlovable

Luke 6:27-28

Luke 6:27-28

“But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.”

Reflection

Jesus' command to love enemies is radical and supernatural. It's easy to love people who love you back. But loving those who hurt you? That requires God's grace. Loving enemies doesn't mean allowing abuse or pretending harm didn't happen. It means choosing to bless instead of curse, pray instead of retaliate, and show kindness instead of vengeance. This kind of love confounds the world and reflects Christ. Who's your enemy? Today, pray for them. Ask God to bless them. That's supernatural love.
