Day 51 of 365
Worship as Warfare
2 Chronicles 20:21-22
2 Chronicles 20:21-22
“After consulting the people, Jehoshaphat appointed men to sing to the Lord and to praise him for the splendor of his holiness as they went out at the head of the army, saying: 'Give thanks to the Lord, for his love endures forever.' As they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes against the men.”
Insight
When Jehoshaphat's army faced overwhelming odds, they put worshipers on the front lines. As they praised God, He fought for them. Worship is spiritual warfare - it shifts focus from problem to Provider, declares God's supremacy over circumstances, and invites His intervention. Sacrificial praise in the storm confuses the enemy and activates heaven's armies.
Reflection
What battle are you fighting? What would happen if you led with worship instead of worry?
