Day 51 of 365
The Sacrifice of Praise
Hebrews 13:15
Hebrews 13:15
“Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that openly profess his name.”
Reflection
Notice it's called a 'sacrifice' of praise. Why? Because sometimes praise costs you something. It's easy to praise when life is good. But praising when life is hard? That's a sacrifice. When you're in pain but still say 'God is good.' When you're confused but still say 'God is faithful.' When you're disappointed but still say 'God knows what He's doing.' That's sacrificial worship. And it's powerful. It doesn't deny your pain; it declares God's supremacy over it. Praise in the storm doesn't change the storm, but it changes you in the storm. It shifts your focus from problem to Provider. Today, offer a sacrifice of praise. Even if you don't feel like it. Even if nothing's changed. Praise Him anyway. Watch what happens in your heart.
