“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”
Insight
When you don't know what to do, ask God for wisdom. He gives generously without criticizing you for asking. This promise is especially relevant in trials (the context of James 1). When life is confusing and decisions are unclear, God will guide you if you ask. Don't lean on your own understanding or poll friends endlessly. Go to God first. Ask for wisdom. He promises to give it. Then trust Him and obey what He shows you.
