Day 15 of 365

Unity in Relationships

Ephesians 4:2-3

Ephesians 4:2-3

“Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.”

Insight

Unity doesn't mean uniformity - we can disagree while remaining united in Christ. Notice the active verbs: 'be humble,' 'be patient,' 'bearing with,' 'make every effort.' Unity requires intentional work. The qualities listed - humility, gentleness, patience, love, peace - are the building blocks of healthy relationships.

Reflection

Which relationship in your life needs more humility, patience, or gentleness? What specific step could you take today to 'make every effort' toward unity?
