Day 225 of 365
The Better Portion
Psalm 119:57
Psalm 119:57
“You are my portion, Lord; I have promised to obey your words.”
Insight
God is your portion—your inheritance, your share, your treasure. When God is your portion, you have everything. People chase wealth, status, and pleasure as their portion. But these are temporary. God is eternal. He's the better portion. When you have Him, you lack nothing essential. Make Him your treasure. Promise to obey His words. He's the only portion that satisfies forever.
Reflection
What are you seeking as your portion—God or something else? How does making God your portion change your priorities?
