Day 145 of 365
Temporary Troubles, Eternal Glory
Romans 8:18
Romans 8:18
“I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.”
Insight
Paul doesn't minimize suffering - he acknowledges it's real. But he puts it in perspective: present suffering doesn't compare to future glory. What you're going through is temporary. What's coming is eternal. The glory that will be revealed in you far outweighs the momentary trouble you're experiencing. Don't let temporary pain blind you to eternal gain. Keep your eyes on the glory. It's coming.
Reflection
What suffering feels overwhelming right now? How does eternal perspective - that glory far outweighs this trouble - change how you endure it?
