Day 2 of 365
Strength from the Lord
Psalm 46:1
Psalm 46:1
“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”
Insight
This psalm reminds us that God is not a distant deity, but an 'ever-present' help. The Hebrew word for 'strength' here implies security and might. God doesn't just give us strength; He IS our strength. When we feel weak, we can run to Him as our refuge.
Reflection
Where do you typically turn for strength when life gets difficult? How might your life look different if God was your first refuge rather than your last resort?
