Day 239 of 365
Resisting the Enemy
James 4:7
James 4:7
“Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
Insight
The order matters: submit to God first, then resist the devil. You can't effectively resist the enemy without first submitting to God. Resistance alone isn't enough. But when you submit to God and resist the devil, he flees. He doesn't linger or negotiate—he runs. The enemy has no power over a submitted, resisting believer. Submit fully. Resist firmly. Watch the devil flee.
Reflection
Are you submitted to God in areas where you're trying to resist the enemy? How can deeper submission lead to greater victory?
