Day 70 of 365

Praying for Prodigals

Luke 15:17-20

Luke 15:17-20

“When he came to his senses, he said... 'I will set out and go back to my father'... So he got up and went to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him.”

Insight

The prodigal story reveals a father's heart - watching, waiting, ready to run when his son returns. That's your Heavenly Father's heart toward every prodigal. If you're praying for someone far from God, don't give up. God is pursuing them relentlessly. Your prayers matter. Their story isn't over. Keep believing, keep praying, keep hoping. The father is watching for their return.

Reflection

Who are you praying for who's far from God? What encourages you about the prodigal's story? How can you continue faithfully interceding?
