Love Flows From Love

“This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.”
Insight
Love flows from love received. You love because He first loved you. Not the reverse. You can't manufacture love for difficult people. But when you deeply receive God's love—understanding that while you were unlovable, He loved you—it overflows to others naturally. The cross is the measure of His love. He sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice. This demonstrated love empowers you to love others. Receive His love deeply. It will overflow abundantly.
