Day 280 of 365
Delegated Authority
Matthew 28:18-19
Matthew 28:18-19
“Then Jesus came to them and said, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations.'”
Insight
Jesus has all authority. He delegates it to you for His mission. You don't go in your authority but His. When you make disciples, cast out demons, or pray for the sick, you operate under His authority. The enemy trembles not at you but at the Name you represent. Understand your position. You're an ambassador with heaven's backing. Exercise the authority Jesus delegated. Go in His name. Act in His power. His authority accomplishes His purposes.
Reflection
Where are you operating in your own authority instead of Christ's delegated authority? How does this change your confidence in ministry?
