Day 157 of 365
Crucified With Christ
Galatians 2:20
Galatians 2:20
“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
Insight
The Christian life isn't you trying harder to be better—it's you dying so Christ can live through you. You've been crucified with Christ. Your old self, with its sinful nature, has been executed. Now Christ lives in you. This means the Christian life is fundamentally supernatural: it's Christ's life expressed through your personality. You live by faith, trusting Him to live His life through you. Stop trying. Start trusting.
Reflection
What areas of your life are you still trying to manage in your own strength instead of trusting Christ to live through you?
