Day 84 of 365

Confession Brings Healing

Psalm 32:3-5

Psalm 32:3-5

“When I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. For day and night your hand was heavy on me; my strength was sapped as in the heat of summer. Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, 'I will confess my transgressions to the Lord.' And you forgave the guilt of my sin.”

Insight

Secret sin saps strength. Unconfessed sin creates internal groaning. But confession brings healing and freedom. David describes the physical toll of hidden sin and the relief of confession. When you bring sin into the light - confessing to God and a trusted person - shame loses power. Confession isn't weakness; it's the path to wholeness.

Reflection

What sin are you hiding? Who can you confess to who will pray for you and hold you accountable?
