Day 58 of 365
Your Calling Is Costly
Luke 9:23
Luke 9:23
“Then he said to them all: 'Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.'”
Reflection
Following Jesus costs something. It might cost relationships, comfort, security, reputation, money, or time. Jesus never promised easy; He promised worth it. Your calling isn't a comfortable cruise; it's a costly adventure. It requires sacrifice. It demands surrender. It asks for everything. But what you gain infinitely surpasses what you give up. Knowing Christ. Experiencing purpose. Making eternal impact. Living fully alive. Peter left his fishing business. Paul abandoned his prestigious position. The disciples walked away from everything. What is your calling costing you? What is God asking you to lay down? The cost is real, but so is the reward. Don't let the cost deter you from your calling. The temporary sacrifice leads to eternal significance. Today, what is God asking you to surrender?
