Day 35 of 365

The Power of Gratitude

1 Thessalonians 5:18

1 Thessalonians 5:18

“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.”

Reflection

Gratitude changes everything. It shifts your focus from what's wrong to what's right, from lack to abundance, from complaint to contentment. Notice Paul doesn't say 'give thanks for all circumstances' but 'in all circumstances.' You don't have to be thankful for cancer, but you can be thankful in it - for medical care, support, God's presence. Gratitude is a discipline, especially when life is hard. Start small: list three things you're grateful for right now. Your breath, your sight, water to drink. Build from there. Keep a gratitude journal. Say thanks before complaining. Watch how it transforms your perspective. A grateful heart is a magnet for joy, a repellent for bitterness, and a reflection of trust in God's goodness. Practice gratitude today.
