Day 237 of 365

The Gift of Repentance

2 Corinthians 7:10

2 Corinthians 7:10

“Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.”

Reflection

There are two kinds of sorrow: godly and worldly. Godly sorrow leads to repentance, salvation, and freedom. Worldly sorrow leads to shame, regret, and death. Godly sorrow says, 'I've sinned against God.' Worldly sorrow says, 'I got caught.' One produces change; the other produces excuses. When you sin, let godly sorrow drive you to repentance. Don't wallow in worldly regret. Repent. Be free. Experience the gift of repentance.
