Day 192 of 365

Resisting the Devil

James 4:7

James 4:7

“Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

Reflection

Resisting the devil isn't optional - it's commanded. But notice the order: submit to God first, then resist the devil. You can't fight the enemy in your own strength. First, submit every area of your life to God. Then, when the devil attacks, resist. Stand firm. Quote Scripture. Declare truth. Refuse to give ground. When you resist - firmly and confidently in God's power - the devil will flee. He has no choice. Resist the devil. He must flee.
