Day 16 of 365
Parenting as Discipleship
Deuteronomy 6:6-7
Deuteronomy 6:6-7
“These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.”
Reflection
Parenting isn't about perfection - it's about presence. God doesn't call you to be a flawless parent; He calls you to faithfully point your children toward Him in everyday moments. Faith is caught as much as it's taught. Your kids are watching how you handle stress, how you treat others, how you respond to failure. They're learning about God through your life, not just your words. Today, look for one ordinary moment - a meal, a car ride, bedtime - to talk about God's love or pray together. Small, consistent moments build a lifetime of faith.
