“These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.”
Insight
This passage reveals that spiritual formation happens in everyday moments, not just formal teaching times. The instruction to talk about God's truth 'when you sit... walk... lie down... get up' means integrating faith into all of life. Children learn more from what they observe in our daily lives than from our intentional lessons.
