Day 249 of 365
Unfailing Foundation
2 Timothy 2:19
2 Timothy 2:19
“Nevertheless, God's solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: 'The Lord knows those who are his,' and, 'Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.'”
Insight
God's foundation is solid and unchanging. When everything else shifts, this foundation stands firm. Two truths are inscribed on it: God knows His own, and His own turn from wickedness. Your security isn't based on your perfection but on God's knowledge of you. He knows who belongs to Him. And because you're His, you turn from sin. This foundation is unshakeable. Build your life on it.
Reflection
Are you building on God's solid foundation or on something unstable? How does knowing God knows you bring security?
