Day 76 of 365
The Gift of Singleness
1 Corinthians 7:32-35
1 Corinthians 7:32-35
“I would like you to be free from concern. An unmarried man is concerned about the Lord's affairs—how he can please the Lord. But a married man is concerned about the affairs of this world—how he can please his wife—and his interests are divided.”
Insight
Paul calls singleness a gift - undivided devotion to God. Marriage is beautiful, but so is singleness. If you're single, don't waste this season wishing for marriage. Maximize it. Pursue God wholeheartedly. Develop your gifts. Serve without distraction. Whether God calls you to lifelong singleness or eventual marriage, steward this season well. Fulfillment is found in Christ, not relationship status.
Reflection
If you're single, how are you stewarding this season? If you're married, how can you help singles in your life see their season as valuable, not as a waiting room?
