“You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.”
Insight
Transformation requires renewed thinking. Put off the old self like removing dirty clothes. Be made new in your mind's attitude. Put on the new self like wearing clean garments. Your mind is the battlefield. Old thought patterns don't automatically disappear at salvation—they must be intentionally replaced with truth. Deceitful desires corrupt the old self. True righteousness renews the new self. Change your thinking. Transform your living. It starts in your mind.
