Day 228 of 365

Never Forgotten

Isaiah 49:15-16

Isaiah 49:15-16

“Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands.”

Insight

You're engraved on God's hands. Even if a mother could forget her nursing child (unthinkable), God will never forget you. You're permanently inscribed on His palms. Every time God looks at His hands, He sees you. You're not an afterthought or occasional memory. You're constantly before Him. You can't be forgotten. You're too important, too loved, too engraved on His heart.

Reflection

When do you feel forgotten by God? How does knowing you're engraved on His hands change that feeling?
