Day 67 of 365
The Gift of Mentorship
2 Timothy 2:2
2 Timothy 2:2
“And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.”
Reflection
You need two types of people in your life: mentors and mentees. Mentors who've been where you're going, who can guide, challenge, and encourage you. And mentees you're pouring into, passing on what you've learned. Paul mentored Timothy. Timothy mentored others. That's multiplication. Don't try to figure everything out alone. Find someone ahead of you and ask for guidance. And don't wait until you 'arrive' to mentor others. You're qualified to help people a few steps behind you. Your mess is someone's message. Your lessons are someone's shortcut. Today, identify someone you could mentor - a younger believer, new employee, struggling parent. Reach out. Offer coffee. Start the conversation. And if you need mentoring, ask someone you respect. Most people are honored to help; they're just waiting to be asked.
